If you’re considering changing companies in 2023, here are five factors to consider before jumping ship.

1. Ask yourself: Is the grass really greener? 
   Before you start your job search take some time to really consider your motivations for moving on. What are the top factors that would make you happier, be good for your career and improve your situation?
2. Can you change anything about your current role?
   Contemplate what you would change to improve your current position and how you feel about your employer and career path where you are. Have you discussed this with your employer? Would it make any difference to your decision to leave? With these first two steps complete, you have created a foundation to make a more informed decision about moving to a new firm.
3. Do your research.
   If you’re making the decision to change companies, researching your next potential employer is key. We can help you determine if they are the right fit for your goals and needs.
4. Focus on the long term.
   Don’t jump to your next firm for short-term issues as this can negatively impact you further along in your career. Find a firm that will help you grow and achieve your career aspirations. 5. Act.
