Project Manager

If you’re ready to step into a role where your decisions genuinely shape a growing business and step straight into a PM role, this might be of interest.

A small, disciplined NYC-based general contractor is building something deliberate and long-term. The focus is commercial interior and high-end residential work across Brooklyn and Manhattan.

This is a start-up environment in the best sense: lean, nimble, and serious about growth. You’ll work directly with leadership. You’ll have visibility. And as the business scales, there is real opportunity to grow with it.

You won’t be managing a slice of someone else’s project, you’ll own it.

You’ll lead projects from early-stage client conversations through closeout, establishing budgets, managing buyout, driving schedules, controlling cost, negotiating change orders, and coordinating architects, consultants, landlords, and subcontractors.

You’ll partner closely with field leadership, protect margins through disciplined forecasting, and identify risks before they become expensive problems.

This role will suit someone who:

  • Has managed projects of $1M or more as the lead
  • Thinks commercially, not just operationally
  • Communicates clearly with clients and stakeholders
  • Is comfortable operating in a lean team where ownership is real

What you’ll bring:

  • Circa 4-5 years of NYC construction project management experience, in an APM or PM capacity
  • Experience working on projects start to finish, including buyout and change management
  • Confidence coordinating architects, engineers, landlords, and consultants

If you’re currently in a larger firm and feel buried in layers with slow career progression, this is a chance to regain visibility, influence, and impact, while joining a business that intends to grow carefully and sustainably.

Base salary $115K - $130K
